Be an active, continuous member in CSCI for at least one year,
having taken an active role in the ceremonies, programs and activities of the
church. |

Have practiced an Earth-based Tradition for at least five years and have
adequate religious/spiritual training or experience in that Tradition. |

Have competent knowledge of at least one other religious or
spiritual tradition with an Earth-based emphasis. |

Meet with Board of Directors to discuss their background,
training and experience. |
 |
Be willing perform public service as needed to the Church and
the members through sponsoring at least one major project or activity for the
period of one year following ordination. The current Board members and the
candidate will determine the nature of the project or activity collaboratively. |

Be willing to continue to add to their knowledge through the
taking of classes or workshops. |
 |
Be willing to share their knowledge with the members of the
Church and the public through teaching classes or workshops. |
 |
Be at least 21 years of age. |

Candidates for ordination should possess talents and experience
in the areas of public speaking, and organizing or conducting ceremonies. |

Candidates for ordination should possess talents and experience
in the areas of mentoring, advising, and guidance of individuals or small
groups. |
 |
A candidate who does not meet all the prerequisites, but meets
almost all of them, may still be considered for the position. The reason for
this is that a lack in a minor area should not keep a promising candidate from
serving the Church. |

All candidates must supply a current (from that year) background
check and a notarized statement that all information supplied to the Board of
Directors is true and offered voluntarily. |
